GLBT Practice

For more than 25 years MSO Law has cultivated a diverse and progressive client base. Since the firm began, much of our practice has been devoted to addressing the unique legal needs of gay men and lesbians. Throughout this time federal, state and local laws have changed and the firm's practice has evolved to keep pace.

As a part of the GLBT community we are respectful of the many legal challenges facing gay men and lesbians, and we frequently counsel individuals and unmarried couples. In advising you and your family, we have extensive experience in preparing partnership and property agreements and estate planning documents (including powers of attorney). We also help clients navigate the termination of their domestic partnerships through negotiated settlement agreements and, when necessary, through mediation or litigation of partnership dissolutions.

Our commitment to the GLBT community is reflected in our volunteer work for many organizations including the Greater Seattle Business Association (and the GSBA Scholarship Committee), the Pride Foundation, In Touch, Multifaith Works, Washington PFlag, VAPWA (Volunteer Attorneys for People with AIDS), Gay City Health Project, and the Seattle Mayor's Lesbian/Gay Task Force (now Seattle Commission for Sexual Minorities).
